I've been going to Vancouver each year for work for years. Love the city (Stanley park, Granville island). Whistler is fun. Beautiful area. Definitely take a ferry over to the island(s) if you can. Victoria is cool too - very European feel. Just go in the late spring/summer is my suggestion.

You going to UCF mi amigo?
Id thought about it but will be in Orlando this week, which makes three consecutive weeks in the sunshine state. (assuming you're talking about football)... Hoops trip is a possibility since I can write it off

Gonzaga is a peculiar place. I visited about three years ago and the campus reminds me of Austin College with a pro arena on campus.

Saw this from wiki. It goes without saying this will be a tough game, but when you look at the stats, it's very impressive...
As of 15 February 2014, the team's record for all games played in the McCarthey Athletic Center was 134-8. The following are the eight Gonzaga men's basketball losses in the building:
Santa Clara (02/12/2007), Washington State (12/05/2007), Portland State (12/23/2008), Wake Forest (12/05/2009), San Diego State (11/16/2010), Saint Mary's (1/27/2011), Michigan State (12/10/2011), and Illinois (12/8/2012).

They might as well be on 2 separate planets. Totally agree with you re. Seattle, but Spokane is the boonies. Totally great if you want to go and support the Mustangs there. But that should be your only expectation. See StallionsModelT's post from several years back about his trip to Pullman, WA to catch the Bo Levi meltdown game.
Good to know. I was just assuming. The last time I was in Seattle we drove up north to Anacortes and took the ferry over to Friday Harbor. It's such a beautiful part of the country. I can see the appeal of living up there. Also, I wish we would've had more time because I wanted to go to Vancouver. I hear it is one of the coolest cities in North America. That's on my bucket list. I lived in Seattle 2 years. a short drive away from Seattle and a great experience is http://www.salishlodge.com/go for a meal and enjoy the water fall.

I think if we are able to pull this game off, it would look very very impressive at the end of the year. Zaga should be stout

It sucks we're hitting them at this point. They're the best they've been in 20 years. Zags by 10.
