I feel like TigerJ is like an athlete or politician after some scandal just hiding until they finally have to address the media. We're waiting for your comments Tiger.

Do we just have to give Pastner more time with this team of elite recruits? Or should we wait until the real elite recruits show up on campus in the next few years? Or would Christian Brothers U whip our [deleted] too? Anxious to hear your thoughts.

In this morning paper the Tigers' beat writer said (here are excerpts, story is behind firewall):

It’s imperative that the Tigers quickly get things turned around, from their sloppy ball handling to shoddy perimeter shooting to inability to consistently get the ball inside to veteran forward Shaq Goodwin and Austin Nichols . . .

With Memphis unable to make perimeter shots . . . . CBU collapsed defensively on Goodwin and Nichols late in the game. The Tigers’ guards combined to go 9 of 31 (29 percent) from the field . .
. . . .

Pastner said the Tigers need to push the ball up the floor faster to prevent teams from settling into the paint defensively. They also need to take better care of the ball, having committed more than 40 turnovers in their scrimmage loss to Saint Louis last Saturday and in Wednesday’s exhibition loss.

40 turnovers? That cannot be correct. That is a turnover every minute.

I think that is over 40 turnovers in the combined 2 games.

Memphis had 21 TOs vs. CBU, so presumably 19 in the secret scrimmage with St. Louis.

CBU was an overtime game so they have only turned the ball over once every 2 minutes and 8 seconds during the preseason.

La vengeance est un mets que l'on doit manger froid.

After our game tonight is a good time to start.
