Oh, wow! I thought they were in the same conference as the South Harmon Institute of Technology.

@franfraschilla: Huge celebration at NJIT as team returns home from big win over UM. In honor of team, 2 students just hacked into China's Defense Ministry.

Two years ago NJIT finished the season 0-29.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

wins like this might finally help NJT find a home. I think they are the last remaining Division I independent. Michigan remains 6-2 with RPI of 31 so still would be a feather in SMU's cap to win in Ann Arbor. SMU currently the highest ranked AAC team with RPI at 48. Next is UConn at 71 with Houston, Cincy & USF all in the top 100 for what that's worth. Anyone remember when Doherty's team had a top 10 RPI ranking early in the season when it was obvious that team wasn't any good?

We were #1 for a while early in the season. That just shows it has no significance right now.

The main reason was that we beat a Dayton team that was coming off a win against Louisville or some other stout program.
