He was limping so bad and dragging his leg our section thought he had dislocated or completely blown his knee ligaments. Nope. A quick shove at the referee, a seat and a swig of water and he was ready to go back in.
Also, it was totally quiet once he went down on the floor and 50% of the students were holding up the Peruna sign which is a sign of respect during an injury, so not sure what you are talking about with your insinuation that we were cheering his fake-injury.
That fits my observations as well. Hell, half the Cinci fans didn't know to clap when he got up. (I sit up in the rafters of 201...but at least I have tickets)
Texas bites. Baylor sucks. As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.

That guy collapsed right in front of me like he had just taken a bullet to the leg just after he was running down the court. And then he continued to shove the ref who was trying to help him which didn't help his case. For the record it did get quiet when everyone realized he might have blown out every ligament in his knee....only to return to the game 1 minute later with a well deserved "he's a [deleted]" chant

The cheering for the injury made me cringe a little... but booing when he came back in? Fair play. If he's playing, it's not serious. And honestly, I'm just happy the students are getting riled up down there.

Unfair criticism. They were quiet when he was down and clapped when he got up.
All else was great.

True. It was only cringe for me because from my angle it was clear he was in pain, but that might not have been obvious from every seat. And certainly nothing wrong with going after him once he returned to the game. In fact, it made me quite happy to see that.

From my vantage point the boos didn't really start until he pushed the ref. Still trying to figure WTF that was about.

You're probably right. It was definitely a strange sequence of events... I assume that "push" was unintentional and the ref must have thought so too, given the lack of reaction.

it seems that some of the students don't like the t-shirts. .. I guess every game they give them out we lose.
The crowd did seem much better on tv tonight compared to others.

Students were early, loud, entertaining, annoyed the opposing coach and players greatly and were very fun to watch. Most of us have no idea how rare that atmosphere is. NOBODY in the AAC or the Big 12 has an atmosphere like us - and very few outside of the ACC.

I am worried student support will follow the teams momentum as well as the strength of opponent down the stretch. I wonder if the strength of the opponent will be this years strength or perceived strength from their name.

To be fair, outside of the notable exceptions, this is the case at the overwhelming majority of schools.
