Re: Beat Tulsa
![]() i'm jealous of you all who get to go to Tulsa tomorrow. Give 'em hell. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Beat TulsaReally? We just got dismantled in 2nd half with major home court advantage. We will end up 3rd in conference regular season. Don't listen to kenpom.
Beat TulsaWe match up well with the remaining teams. We do not with Cincy. We are defense and inside play. Cincy is better defense and better inside play. We should be able to win the rest.
And I have no idea what kenporn is. If I pay attention to any porn it would be barbieporn. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Beat TulsaWe really do need to win this game on Saturday. Despite our record, we are a solid bubble team at this point with no real quality wins. Remember last year we beat ranked UCONN teams twice and blew out ranked Cincy and did NOT get in. This year is kind of flipped because we have no "bad" losses like last year, but we no quality wins either.
Need to sweep Tulsa and at least split with UCONN at this point. Add a couple of conference tourney wins and we should be in. That Cincy loss is huge in my opinion, but I would agree with some other posters who have pointed out our matchup problems with them. It happens (see SMU - Uconn last year).
Re: Beat TulsaOur only 2 big wins are at Temple and Michigan. Outside of that, we have beat the basketball equivalent of our '14 football team. Need to ride into Tulsa and dominate the game. It is unlucky that we play back to back games against 2 completely different teams...but quality teams find a way to do that. Quality teams find a way to win when they can't hit he side of a barn. We didn't do that...so the 2nd half of our season and, realistically, our post season starts at Tulsa.
We better have busses of people going up there.
Re: Beat Tulsalast night was difficult on all of us and I certainly hope we match up well against Tulsa and can go up there and beat those guys...but I predicted coming in that this team would go 13-5 in AAC play and I haven't seen anything yet to change my mind. It will be really tough if we lose 3 of our final 7 regular season games but road games at Tulsa, UConn & Memphis and home games against UConn and Temple are all possible losses...not to mention that trap game down at Houston.
The simple fact is that little Nic is the only guy on the floor who gives us any perimeter shooting threat and the only guy who can create his own shot with any regularity. With an 8 man rotation, we really need Ryan, Sterling and Gu to step up their perimeter games or we are going to see more of what we saw last night, i.e, deny little Nic any good outside looks and make the other guys beat you. Hopefully we won't run into anyone else with quality bigs like UC has, but given how (relatively) poorly we have played on the road, I'm still bracing for that 13-5 finish. Sure hope I'm wrong.
Re: Beat Tulsa
What is the actual spread?
Re: Beat Tulsa
It looks like he got even. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Beat Tulsa
You can bet even if there is a spread. Changes payouts
Re: Beat Tulsa
True. I do think it is E right now though as well. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Beat TulsaI'm sitting in the Book wearing my SMU jacket and TONS of people are walking up to me asking about this game. A lot of interest in SMU.
Pony up!
Re: Beat TulsaI'm very close to referring to Nic as Good Nic or Bad Nic as some games he really does some inexplicable things. Hope Good Nic shows up tonight. Was with 3 KU people for Cincy game and they were impressed by the energy level. Outside of the much dissected gametime productions fuckups, I was fairly pleased.
