I know, but that three times thing comes up every tourney. Doesn't seem to hurt the really good teams.

We are hoping to win out which means any team we play in the tourney besides Cincy, ECU and Tulane would be a team we needed to beat three times. If it is so tough we might be in real trouble.

"Beating a team 3 times is tough" mantra is just plain stupid. I will always rather be 2-0 rather than 1-1 or 0-2 against my next opponent.

I doubt anyone who is talking about beating a team three times would rather be 1-1 or 0-2. It's not stupid just to acknowledge that due to the variability in the game it is tough to win 3 straight times even against teams you should beat. People have off nights and teams learn your tendencies when you play more often.

That being said, with Cincy, if we beat them in the AAC tourney, it would be less because of the 3 times rule than that we are just a good team and more than capable of beating them.
