Of course, that would cause even more angst and despair among excitable SMU fans due to increased 3 point shots although in reality SMU is back in Top 20% in 3 Point Defensive FG % ranked 67th in Country out of 345 teams (top 19%)

BTW despite what you read on ponyfans there is no shotage of NCAA Tournament teams that have worse 3 Point Defensive %-in fact we are in good company sitting just a tick below Duke

At a minimum there are at least 34 NCAA Tournament teams with worse 3 Point FG % including numerous Top 25 teams-and I'm sure I missed a bunch of smaller schools from 1 bid conferences

UCLA in particular is sitting at No. 246 in the Country

A 30 second clock would help us immensely. Our defense already gets 2-3 violations per game. Basically the s**t starts to hit the fan for the other team with about 7 seconds left on the shot clock. So we get the opportunity for the s**t to hit the fan five seconds earlier every single time the other team has the ball.

I like that.

On offense: we already pass up a lot of shots looking for a chance at a better one. And we pass…a lot…we'll be just fine.
