Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiIts ok, petino is 60 and didn't know what was going on.
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegati
If they find a bottle of blue pills in his desk drawer, it might show he did know what was going on "I don't think anyone around the country has any idea how good we are going to be." - Coach Justin Stepp
GO MUSTANGS!!!!
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiMy friends who are UL fans are pretty sure that this may get really ugly.
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiNCAA better get down there before all the hush money shows up.
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiDon't know what the statute of limitations is in Kentucky for prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution and soliciting, but if its still open, I could see some Louisville prosecutor jumping in to kind of force a recantation of the sex for money allegations. Of course, rumor and conjecture is sufficient for the NCAA to slam a program as we all know.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiMy recollection from the failed Big East days, was that Rick Patino was one of the coaches strongly opposed to the inclusion of SMU because of our past history with sanctions. He was sanctinmonious and priggish about what Louisville and the other "good" schools brought to the table. Serves him right as far as I'm concerned.
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiOf course we now know that under the new guidelines it doesn't matter if the coach knew it or not, he gets suspended if it happen on his watch. Sorry Rick, looks like a 20 game suspension for you.

Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiafter all of this...the NCAA will look past it and Lville will announce a $100 million renovation to their arena

Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiI dont know, in the eyes of the NCAA, strippers for 18 year olds vs. a school employee taking a test for prospective student athlete.
One of the things I dont think SMU fans fully appreciate is how the NCAA works. The NCAA and cheating is a lot like parents of teenage kids who know that their kids are going to drink and smoke pot. They know their kids are going to do it and they know they cant control it, so they let them do it and hope that by allowing it, the teenager will show some restraint and not be out of control. Academic fraud is one of if not the biggest no-nos. It shines a giant light of the FACT that the NCAA makes BILLIONS of dollars off of 'student-athletes' who have no business being students and compensates them nothing for this fact, other than a "free education" to somebody who has a reading level of a 5 grader. Whatever you do as a University, do not do anything to expose this! Strippers and hookers for 18 year old boys to get them to attend your university.....will be filled under boys will be boys.
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiI hear that boys will be boys, but the problem comes when its an Assistant Coach doing the pimping. The NCAA gets a little torqued about that.

Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiIssue for us was an act that created an unfair recruiting benefit or edge, correct? Well, this definitely created an unfair recruiting advantage.
Plus, if you look at the Ole Miss recent hit, that was an athlete who got booster money in school. These were recruits getting money from a coach pre commitment, sp it falls under the much more strict standard. Add to that the fact that any emphasis on academic fraud promoting eligibility by the NCAA further ties their hands on the UNC issue. I'm sure hoop and/or stallion will correct me if I'm wrong on this. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Re: Ohio St player & former Lville recruit confirms allegatiThe UL crowd is already saying they don't think Rick makes it through this. I would get a bit of a chuckle out of that. He is such a tool.
