Cincy should have taken the ball to the basket more. Period. Maybe Cronin should be wondering how his team can take 18 more shots than SMU and still lose.

He talked about how he wanted them to take the ball to the basket more than they did. Of course, Tolbert, B. Moore, Kennedy and 11 blocks might have had something to do with why Cincy was jacking up so many shots from the perimeter.

The difference between the teams was Point guard play. Nice had us going inside relentlessly in the first half and got them into foul trouble. When Cinci went match up zone and clogged the lane in the 2nd half nic kept the ball moving to find a good shot (which we missed a bunch of). Cinci didn't force there good match ups inside and relied on hoisting up some open but very deep threes and plenty of contested threes. It's really hard to beat a team as efficient as smu that way (though Cinci gave it their best shot by being [deleted] the glass and forcing turnovers).

If Cinci had nic Moore running their team they would be undefeated and mocked of ISU and Xavier and butler.

RGV I agree with you again. Its a trend.

Elfishness aside, I like Cronin. He knows his [deleted] and he is aggressive and more or less fair. I think he does throw his guys under the bus a bit more than I would like, but there may be reasons for that we don't know.
