Long shot or we know something?
Just gathering various Intel and it sounds like he will be a long way from being an NCAA qualifier

Re: 1 big down and just 1 more neededI almost think another big is nice to have? We have done just fine with 3 posts rotating this season if you think Semi will play more as a 4. If we get another, I'd like to bring in someone with soft hands we can develop like Ben.
If Semi is going to play as a 3, nobody believes Ben E is coming back because then we would be up to 7 in the backcourt. I think they think of Semi as a stretch 4.
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more needed
That's a shame. I thought he was just waiting on one piece. Would have been very nice addition.
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more neededout of curiosity is Wilson any good? no stars on rivals (probably doesn't mean anything)...

<Wilson is a knockdown shooter who played many important minutes for the Australian teams. He has a unique release on his jumpshot but is still a deadly threat from outside. Wilson is a shooting guard and has worked to improve his ability as a point guard. He is now more than capable at both positions. He is an impressive athlete and is a pleasure to watch, as he reads the game so well.> Last edited by sadderbudweiser on Tue Jan 26, 2016 9:16 am, edited 1 time in total.

He's long, so if he commits to playing D he becomes a valuable guy off the bench who can fill it up and spell starters at 1&2 Length, versatility and committment both D and team play seem to be the gold standard for an LB RECRUIT. It would serm he's got most of that. No way can we waste a scholly to carry someone else's bags anymore. We've already been there and how did THAT work out for us? Party at The Wopper!
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more needed
Semi will play at the 4 for us at times but he will also play the 3 (it was as a slashing shooting 3 that he got recruited to duke). If you have him at the 3 Ben at the 4 and Sterling at the 2 with Sake at the 1 you are extremely long and athletic defensively at those 4 spots. Remember LB's dream would be 5 guys at 6'8 that are all athletic enough to switch on all screens.
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more neededI have seen Semi listed variously as 6'8 (SMU roster site), 6'7, or 6'6. I don't know which is most accurate. Sounds like he was a 3 at Duke.
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more neededSo what's the latest on Kapita anyway? 247 has 100% crystal ball SMU

Re: 1 big down and just 1 more needed
If his actions are sufficient does he pass the test? Or is there more to it? Last edited by SMUstangs22 on Tue Jan 26, 2016 7:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: 1 big down and just 1 more neededGuess we are back to paying recruits
