This sounds more like Larry than SMU, to be honest. I think the APR situation is particularly troubling.

100% agree.

People are forgetting we may have an APR ban this year because of him

I love all the snap judgments of Larry and SMU on here from people who have no idea what the facts are. Let's give it some time and let this story unfold a little before we whack Larry and burn down Dallas Hall.

How dire is that situation? If its that bad then we should have never tried to extend the contract

WTF? This sucks. Can someone post what is being tweeted about this? If it is about a long-term contract, then maybe 1) SMU was trying to protect Jank, and 2) LB was scared about another infraction or about upcoming recruiting classes.
If Jank can hold on to the players he has, we will have a good season this year and everything will be fine.
If players start to bail, we are done.

This is pretty much what we all expected at some point and we got from LB exactly what we needed (with some very odd and unfortunate bumps along the way)...Jank should be great and the table is set perfectly for him.
Thanks a million for all LB did and the future should be bright #PonyUp

Looking back we got way more from LB than we expected in terms of tenure and success.
Got pretty much what we expected in terms of scandal and mess.
This was going to happen at some point. Chicken S that it comes out today with what's going on in Dallas.

I was just about to post how pissed I am about the timing. This was deliberately done when it would get buried behind other news. Whomever is responsible for that, whether him or SMU, is a real jerk. SMU should put out an announcement immediately indicating that they regret the timing of the announcement and had nothing to do with it. If they don't, I'm blaming them. He has two kids at SMU. There has to be more than just a contract involved. I would guess further violations will be announced before the end of the summer and the whole program is going in the sh!tter.
