It seems obvious that the 1 seed is rewarded relative to the 6 and 7 seeds. Do you disagree?
1 seed earns a bye and at worst to play the 8 seed, at best to play the 9 seed in round 2.
6 seed does not get a bye, has earned the right to play the 11 seed in 1st round and has to play the 3 seed in 2nd round if they even get there.
7 seed does not get a bye, has earned the right to play the 10 seed in 1st round and has to play the 2 seed in 2nd round it they even get there.
