Jank to....Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Jank to....delete this thread, Jack is not leaving...he loves it here
Re: Jank to....let's hope that is the case because others are going to come after him
Re: Jank to....I smell a blue blood in the water
Re: Jank to....
They must really stink if you can smell them while they are swimming. I hate when you start fanning this flame bc you often hint at things well before they come to be...
Re: Jank to....just like Chad, we can't keep others from coming after Jank, but sure hope we can lock him down
Re: Jank to....I hope SMU's pitch to Jank is that we want you to be Coach K for SMU. And we will make a long time investment in him and his staff.
There are many examples of hot coaches going to a great program and not meeting expectations (See Smart at UT, Tubby at Kansas).
Re: Jank to....As long as he can become that. Long term contracts scare me. Dont want to have a Pastner on our hands. Although all indications say it wouldnt be
Re: Jank to....Jank has been great this year but lets let him get his own recruiting classes in here for a year or two before proclaiming him our "Coach K"
Re: Jank to....He's our coach k.
Re: Jank to....
Tubby was never at Kansas. He did coach at Kentucky where he took took his teams to four elite eights and won a national championship. So, I would not call that a bust.
Re: Jank to....Time to get a coach in waiting for the coach in waiting.
What Sun Belt or MVC team has a promising freshman that really loves their coach and would follow him to Dallas while he waits for Jank to retire or get snatched... #NewLobCity
Re: Jank to....A lot of this comes down to fan support. As long as we are a top 25 team, all games need to be sold out and rowdy.
I miss Troy Matthews.
Re: Jank to....He came here to be LB's right hand man and the head coach in waiting for 4 years and he is going to leave after a good year or 2-think again. Bet he stays here a long long time. He's not CM
Re: Jank to....Tim will be here next year. Then he and his son will get a package deal at top tier program.
A long tradition of existence.
