Re: Bracketologyhttp://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/colleg ... creighton/
11 seed playing vs. PITT Pitt is incredibly overrated. They are 1-4 vs. top 50 RPI (0-4 vs. top 25) "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: BracketologyAnd somebody keeps hoping for an 11th or 12th seed. Forget that, we need to be a 7th or 8th seed.

Re: Bracketology
Love that idea. They do the ACC/Big 10 challenge and the Big 12/SEC challenge. Adding the AAC/Big East challenge next year would be great. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

AAC/PAC 12 challenge would be even better. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Bracketology
Being from the West Coast this is what I want to see. Zona, Oregon, and Stanford are all quality teams. Even Cal and UCLA can pull off some surprises this year

Re: BracketologyLunardi's latest bracket has us a 8 seed playing GW, then Cuse in Buffalo

Re: Bracketology
Sounds awful.
Re: Bracketology
Hopefully, we can moving up and avoid Buffalo as Cuse will be locked in there. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Bracketology
UCONN and Memphis as 6 seeds. A sweep over either of these would vault SMU up considerably. In fact, it is likely that we will have a third game against one of these two in AAC tourney. "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: BracketologyThe seeding confuses me.
If we are still a top 25 (and of course, that is still a big 'if' at this point) then how are we anything less than a 5 seed?
Re: Bracketology5 seed would be nice but if we don't get that I'll stick with a 12 or 13. 8/9 is a tough slot. If you win you get a 1 as your "reward." I'd rather have to upset a 5 and then a 4 than face a one in round two.

Re: Bracketology
I think this is a good question. Looking at the brackets I've seen gives some clues. One of the latest ESPN brackets has teams like UCLA, North Carolina, UMASS, New Mexico, Gonzaga etc in the 6-9 seed range. I think we get docked a little for our strength of schedule (especially out of conference) and I think teams like those benefit from their pedigree, even though I'd take us over a lot of those teams right now.
Re: Bracketology
So you want us to lose so we will go down to a 12th or 13th seed and possibly have a play in game? No way. Give us the best seed possible and whatever comes with it. We need to keep winning and keep moving up in seeding. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown
