If you are currently a season ticket holder, you will have seats next year if you want them......just maybe not what you have now if you aren't prior to Dohs last year

I guess I don't understand the point of the discussion if it's already been decided.

If someone has seats currently that they bought this year, how do they get displaced if they are willing to pay the price required? I don't understand that part and who jumps ahead of them?

I don't see how they can guarantee this, but if so then that's something at least.

well, there can't be more than 1-2K season ticket holders during Doh's years right?

I'll wait for the details to come in the mail. I will not accept worse seats, I'll just say see you and good luck SMU.

That is in the vicinity of what they said tonight.......it might have been a little over 200.

I'm happy because based on what has been said here I will be able to keep my seats, but this is a pretty obvious cash grab. I think SMU has seriously "jumped the gun". I hope it doesn't end up biting SMU in the [deleted], because that's not good for anyone. Unfortunately I think it probably will...

I will reserve judgment until I have an official statement of what is happening from SMU.

I will say this however, when I bought season tickets I was told as part of my purchase I would receive the right to renew my seats the following year. I was told this again before the start of this season when I was asked to re-buy my seats. In Texas, there are laws against making misrepresentations to consumers about the product you are selling them. I absolutely will not hesitate to invoke the protection of the law if SMU made a misrepresentation to get me to buy something.

Multiplied by how many seats per holder?

I second this post. I was told the same thing multiple times.

I would love to know the details of how they manage the priorities and purchases.

I would guess it will be totally screwed up since theoretically they will have to give quite a few arbitrary groups some sort of window to purchase certain seats before allowing others to purchase them.

Yep, CMF. I'll do the same thing.
And actually it might be a sign of my sanity returning after all these years.
I can go on Stubhub and buy tickets to the best 2-3 games of the season for a fraction of the cost of a seat donation + season ticket price.

Football? Without being in a P5 there will always be cheap tickets available for ANY game.

I've always bought tickets to support the university because God knows it has needed every one of us over the years.

If I get the letter that says you are moving seats, your money is no good and STFU. Then maybe that is the sign I need to go do something else.
