The lowest anyone else has us ranked is #22.
I think Terry has enough problems
Are you sure that's not Newman?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

If we lose a game, they will drop us out of the top 25, they are just waiting for the opportunity.

In addition to Terry not ranking us, yet again, there was actually 15 voters who dropped us in their rankings as many as 4 spots. That is why we didn't move up, although we did get more points this week and are a good distance from #19 WV. Any one who would drop us after playing without 2 of our starters yet perform at a very high level, just isn't paying attention or don't want to pay attention. I don't get it. If you have a vote, you need to be responsible with it.
Just keep taking care of business.

It's probably safe to say that many of the voters don't have the day to day interest in SMU to know much about injuries, etc.
That being said we just don't have the resume most of the teams around us have. We'd probably be higher ranked if we were 8-1 with our one loss being by two the A top five team on the road.

thats why it's a broad group that changes yearly. They can't watch every game or know every injury for the top 40 or so teams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Understand but injuries or not, but winning games by large margins (44 and 33) regardless against who and you go down in the rankings? Can stomach treading water (maybe), but not dropping up to 4 spots. This is a special team. Would be nice for a change to get recognized, tourney or not.

Just get used to the limited recognition this year. We are not post season eligible so any attention we get will be somewhat muted even from those that like us.
