Given some of the comments in this thread and about Keith generally on this board can you really say SMU supported him?

No kidding. I too am disappointed in Keith for leaving now, after sticking through the worst of it with a chance to make history (and a chance to make amends to some extent), and disappointed for SMU that the chance we took on Keith has not panned out, but there are some real jerks on this board with the name calling and "good riddance" sentiment.

We were better off with Keith playing this winter. I believe he would have been better off in the long run at least finishing out the year. But I hope he finds success in something.

We are better with him playing no doubt. His choice to bail at one of the worst times possible. I don't want to work or associate myself with those types of people. I call them [deleted]. I hope all of you on here wouldn't do the same thing.

As for support. His team and the fans certainly supported him. Show me where up until he decided to walk that there openly hostile comments directly to him by fans or those in "the family". As for SMU support, I assume that if LB is backing him so is SMU the university.

1) I wish nothing but the best for Keith. The only negative of yesterday's events is that I think everyone is even less bullish on his prospects in life today than they were yesterday
2) The program is better off. He's just not a net positive player on the court even 3 years into this experiment. He was getting there last year and regressed a bit this year. Plus, the team played noticeably better without him last year, perhaps because they didn't have to slow down every practice and to tell him where to go on the floor. I'm sorry, but that guy clearly knew they plays less then anyone on the team, including the freshmen and walk-ons
3) I've wondered all year how the team could not have chemistry issues playing with a guy who sabotaged their season. It's a testament to the coaches, I guess. Anyway, we won't have to worry about that now.
4) Even if Keith were a net positive, there is little at stake this year and I'm glad we cleaned the slate for next year. The die is pretty much cast for this year - we will have a very nice record, we won't make the tournament. Very small chance we run the table. His departure doesn't change any of that.

I will be so chuffed if this is true, Keith Pony Up tomorrow! Kid deserves a second chance! The fact that there are lot of idiots in this board and at SMU makes me sick! They pretend like they never made mistakes in life, most of the blue collar types I saw at SMU during my Graduate life between 2009-11 were intellectual dummies and lot of them in this board.

we all agree he deserved a 2nd Chance-the problem many have had is that Keith is working on about his 10th chance over about 8 years. I'll support the kids wearing the red and blue and I've always wanted to see Frazier graduate but there are some very concerning things I've read about how Frazier walked out on his team-NOT that SMU kicked him off the team
