Should we have beaten Tulane by more? Probably. Did we play as well as we could have? Probably not. But a win is a win, and we're on a five game win streak. Looking at the roster, that's nothing short of spectacular.

I don't care anymore that it was a closer game than it should have been!!! We won and that is all that matters. If you want to look back with regret look back at the game we lost at their place!!!

I'm giving out hugs, who wants one?

Maybe people are finally all on board huh? Greatness.

The real measure will be when they show up after we lose. I expect a redpony drive-by, not sure about hoopfan

I thought you said that SMU may never lose again...

Congrats, we've now achieved the highest win total under Doherty...with the least amount of talent and depth. Shazaam. Still seven more to go.

Mangrum had not that many points but made a huge difference in hustle all over the court - he has been a nice surprise for this team. A "have to" win if we are going to get anywhere.

I know you weren't being critical! Just saying if you want to nitpick go back to the first games thread because their is no reason not to celebrate a win. I was adding to your post not countering anything you said.

i was one of the few people actually at the game tonight, so not sure why i deserve crap. poor turnout, but good student involvement for the second game in a row. the revival of the Pa-pa Di-a chant was great, as was the Jer-ie-miah chant. Frog is becoming a fan favorite. As for the game, I dang sure expect to beat Tulane and many of these highly average CUSA teams at home. I know that hearts and minds have been convinced that this roster is so bad that any D-1 win is a miracle, but I think thats crap. Papa is having a beast of a season, as he should be as a talented senior. He is surrounded by almost all upperclassmen who probably have 300 D-1 starts among them (Walker, Nyk, Haynes, Harp, Mangrum, Clink). I wouldn't quite have expected or predicted 6-3 and a 5 game win streak which is great but I damn sure would expect 5-4 or at least 4-5 against this league schedule at this point. We stole one at tulsa and vs Memphis, gave one away at home vs. Houston, so we are +1 right now vs. what I consider reasonable expectations, not Friends of Doherty & Staff expectations.

How about Coach Doh doing the "Mustang Warrior Dance" at the under 4:00 timeout? This is the second time that we have publicly seen him do this dance this year. It not only gets the players fired up, but the students as well. As we have seen throughout the season, Doh is much more relaxed and has undertaken the "CEO Coach" role many of you speak of. If you attend the games, the players are much more receptive to Doh and it shows. Gone are the days where the players are fearful of creating a turnover and soon to find the bench and it has really shown positive signs for the team.
Let's go win the C-USA Tourney!
