disagree totally. it wasn't the best but definitely not the worst. the frazier slam might have been a new high on volume

Volume was fine.
It can't be Cinci level insanity every game.

Just got back from the game. . . JMO. What I saw from SMU is a team that needs to get through UConn, and get that week off after UConn.

Nice game tonight. Atmosphere was solid for UH and mid-week. I think SMU could sell the faculty and staff tickets for half price next year. They may only give out 100-150 plus whoever else gets tickets in the upper section behind the baseline. Those seats in 214-15 were about 40% filled.

UH did one thing great. Their support defense was great on Kennedy and Caneen with the second defender blocking numerous shots. They had the best answer for Kennedy's inside game I've seen.

They had his little move figured out. Always went for the block after his pivot.

Kennedy was a non-factor at Temple too. Not sure if teams have figured him out but other than foul trouble, kind of MIA. Hopefully he can play tough against UConn

That's what I took away. Houston watched a ton of film on us. I did not like the game tonight. But a win is a win.

I will say a few of those interior passing sequences were nice. We are getting better at that all the time. Teams have taken away a lot of the backdoor lobs, we did see the Frasier slam.

UH also did a good job on the backdoor bounce pass. That wasn't there tonite and that's one of our staples

No [deleted], said that since day one. It's bad. There's Nic Moore, and ....Nic Moore. Shawn Williams adds nothing offensively. He cleans up garbage and any post could do that. Zero skill-set.

Again with the free throws...under five to go, miss not one but both shots, don't rebound, Houston grabs it and races for a bucket in transition. Four point swing in about five seconds of clock runoff.

Anyone else get the feeling that despite our stellar incoming talent it's gonna be hard not to miss Nick Russell next year?
