Yes, having Larry Brown as coach really sucks. Chad Morris too. Those Moody upgrades suck. I hate beer at basketball and football games. Our women are ugly, as is our campus. Hell is being an SMU fan.

Being an smu fan is so great. We haven't been nationally relevant in a major sport in my lifetime and most people under age 30 don't know who or where smu is. But boy that Hawaii bowl was neat, huh?

Our basketball team is nationally relevant. We just got the best football coach available. Moody is amazing. We have the Boulevard. And I like beer.

Most of this instant panic reaction is from being trained to be losers. Eventually we will start training our fans to expect as many good things as bad.

Just because we were even worse in the past doesn't mean it isn't painful to be an smu fan

If Keith took a J-term class, he's a real trooper. In addition to the classes being up at SMU-Plano, there are eight class days for about five hours a day. I guess there weren't any out of town games during class days.

There are two interesting possibilities:
History of Sports in the U.S.
and Introduction to Markets and Culture (on online course which spanned four weeks ending 1/14), which has four exams and "ALOT" of reading.

I looked at a the titles of several threads on two pages and this may have been the oldest so I thought to bump it back to the top for a moment. I think I've read most of every thing about the Maligi - Frazier imbroglio in this and also the threads above this one when I started this post.

Most of all, I hope that no SMU player, coach, or administrator is involved more than tangentially - as someone else put it - in this affair.

Further to that, I hope that Coach Maligi's hands are clean. I hate to think that someone with his resume is involved. However, I am afraid that his association with our program is over.

More over, I hope the appeal regarding KF's eligibility is successful and failing that action, he will stay in school and play next season. Again, there is concern whether either will happen. I certainly agree with the "towels for Keith" that others have proposed.

Finally, I hope the team continues to improve and makes the NCAA this year.
