I want to recognize the refs for making some of the worst calls in the second half in the modern history of bball.
the clear objective is to get more teams in the post-season. since smu can't go and are the only aac rated we are the sacrificial lamb.
nice job aac. can't wait to get out of this sorry conference.

Refs called a bad game for Houston in the first half (that is why Kelvin Sampson got the tech because he was upset about the bad calls) and they called a bad game for SMU in the second half. But make no mistake they out hustled SMU and beat SMU.

My takeaways. Short turnaround, thin bench, road game = trouble. Foul trouble makes players more tentative especially the bigs. Houston was flopping like a bunch of beached flounder to try and draw the last fouls on our bigs. Our bigs shot terribly. Tolbert couldn't find the inside of the hoop all night because his shots were being challenged. Didn't realize soon enough that UH was jumping on the first move, when we did a head fake, they had to foul us or allow a basket. Both Moore's realized that late. We showed a lot of grit coming back and had a chance to tie it at the end. But it wasn't meant to be. Get some rest and let's have a bull roast in Tampa/St. Pete.

Arkansas has never lost a game it was all on the refs.

unforced errors...lazy passes, bad passes, inattentiveness

missed layups and a missed dunk

UH guy traveling 4-5 steps then getting an and 1

UH flopping and goaltending ref from Louisville getting caught up in the moment

...all those things contributed. However, eliminate the first two lines above and the rest probably don't matter.

Not the refs. Houston played extremely hard in the second half. UH killed us on the offensive glass (or at least it seemed that way. . .haven't seen the actual numbers). They looked great. Our bigs. . .and I love them all . . . missed about 10 point blank layups in the last 10 minutes. Our legs looked heavy. UH deserved to win.

That was the same ref we had against Kent St and Houston at Moody. The white guy with sweet gelled spiked hair. Worst ref in the NCAA. We need to get his name
