This is the result of us playing sloppy, getting horrible calls, and ECU absolutely unconscious from 3. How many NBA 3s did they hit. All of them.

This is what happens when you are the 1 seed and everybody is amped up to play you. Welcome to the big leagues.

If I'm Jank, I focus on:
1. We are getting every bodies best shot. Count on the other team getting hot and lucky.
2. Protect the ball.
3. Continue playing strong D. That's what got us the big lead and if ECU hadn't made like 5 off balance, with a hand in the face NBA 3 's we are going to be fine.

We should expect a lot more pressing tomorrow and potentially Sunday if we advance. Up to us to show we can handle it.

Yep, I don't see anyone shooting like that (second half) against us again. That was unreal.

Very disappointing last 10 minutes. Maybe as many have said - we needed this slap in the
face to realize that we are not invincible. Thank God that Semi had enough left in the
tank to score the last four points in the game and seal the win.

I hate to think how the game might have ended when Barclay stole the ball, drove in for
a layup. He would have given ECU a 2 point lead with under a minute to go, but
he lost the ball and it went out of bounds - SMU ball. I saw him crying later because he
knew that he had blown a possible win and now he was going home.

Congrats to the team for winning and to Semi for hitting his college high in scoring.
We needed every point.

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis. Thus, under your thoughtful approach, Kansas is out of the NCAA tournament because they lost to TCU! Who are you going to place in the NCAA tournament in lieu of Kansas? Houston Baptist?

Below is your three step guide to self-improvement and maturity:

1. Reduce your coffee intake;

2. Learn much, much more about basketball; and

3. Grow up, even a little bit!

By the way, are you related to Jason B?

SMU was up 2 at that point, 79-77. His layup would've tied the game.

Call me overly optimistic, but our struggles against the press today don't really worry me going forward. For the most part we weren't panicking; we were going through the motions to break it, just sloppy in execution because of the lack of intensity. Three games in three days is probably in the back of everyone's minds.

Keep the intensity high and we carve the press apart.

I've always thought we should have two Game Threads-one for those that offer constructive comments-whether positive or negative- and one for those that routinely pee their pants. If you lose your [deleted] you should be relegated to the Second Division. Its the same people over and over. Have confidence in your team

Jank postgame soundbite: https://twitter.com/American_MBB/status ... 9228214272
Not happy with rebounding and part of the second half play, but says it might wind up being good for us what happened.

No kidding! Teams get hot - it happens. They are scholarship players also.

I'm still nervous from the game. We may have to deal with a team being outrageously hot- it happens. Losing our poise against the press is really frustrating. We found every way possible to screw that up. Terrible spacing, lazy passes, inbounding too quickly, offensive foul (which admittedly looked weak), failing to make them pay with easy buckets. Disappointed that Jank couldn't find anything that worked.
