As a very casual fan, i.e. I haven't watch SMU basketball in decades, I was impressed by the discipline and intensity when we played UH in Dallas. That was my first in person game to witness since I was a student. Watching this game gives me a team to team comparison. Others have more knowledge but I am very excited by this team. Vast improvement in defense and offense execution. we needed to rebound on the defensive end and did! And we hit shots. The first UH game we couldn't hit water if we fell out of a boat. Just to cold. Not so on the road. And 1-1 on the road against two good teams is impressive.

very disciplined right until the end tonight...even with the big lead and a chance to be loose, they stuck to what got them that big lead.

That was a really fun game to be at!!! First time I have seen us beat UH in Houston in the 6 years I have been going. Both teams had their runs, but SMU finally pulled away big time in the second half!!! That dirty foul on Nyakundi at the 6:13 mark really scared me, I almost thought our season would go down in flames but he looks to be ok.
