once again, it comes down to not enough fire power. We just don't have many scoring options and when Rob doesn't contribute, we lose. Simple as that...but these guys do manage to make games interesting right to the very end

Agreed. That was a bad loss. It would have been one thing to have been down the whole game and gotten close at the end, but the manner we lost that one with so much time left was devastating. That 18-4 run or whatever it was ended up sinking us. I hope they remain sleepless the rest of the season and take it out on UTEP and everyone in our way in the CUSA tournament.

Disappointing but not surprising.

Again, it looks like it comes down to two things for this team. And these appeared to be the common denominators for these two games.

1. If you don't get it from Dia and Nyakundi every game, this team doesn't have any shot to win. When you hit a cold spell like SMU did in the second half -- and you have no scoring options -- you're asking for it.

Nyakundi averaged 6.5 points on this 2-game swing. That's a recipe for struggles.

2. This team's turnover issues are borderline scary. I think it had 36 miscues in the two games? That's pretty tough to overcome too.

But you just deal with it and try to move on.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm curious how many times we've led at the half and ended up losing. Too many 2nd half stretches where we completely fall apart.

This team has a system, but continues to be woefully talentless on offense. Just a bunch of marginal role players that lack confidence and physicality (as evidenced by wildly uneven performances from game to game by our "scorers"). Solid game plans keep us competitive in a below average conference, but I don't see much progress towards competing on a national stage.

I hope the horses coming in next year live up to expectations, however, I fear next year's excuse will be "it's their first year in the Princeton, it will take time to adjust". And the saga continues...

HORRIBLE play in the 2nd half. There's no way to sugarcoat it. Experienced basketball players shouldn't have thought about making some of those passes that got picked off. Experienced basketball players should have played their defensive assignments instead of running around the court like chickens with their heads cut off trying to chase UCF's ball movement.

I would have loved to steal the win, but this team didn't deserve it tonight.
