I'm sorry, but I hAte that Moreira and Kennedy basically never play at the same time. Drives me crazy? There's some strange rotation stuff on this team, see tonight's starters

I knew we were going to struggle with our passes. Playing the lesser teams early in the year I saw how sloppy we were with ball but many times we still got away with it. That won't fly in conference play, especially against the likes of Cincinnati, Louisville and UConn.

Good point.

Williams wasn't too much of the problem today was he 2-3 for 4 points but 5 rebounds in only 13 minutes

His name is Emmanuel Mudiay. :D
I know you're talking about a 2 but even at the point, Mudiay will get to the basket at will. He such a special talent.

That's what I was thinking the whole game. I also think you need Frazier and Moore taking at least 2-3 three point shots per half just to keep teams honest and they can both heat up. How many did Nic even attempt? I remember 2.

I hope he starts giving Nic, KF, Ben, Kennedy and Yanick a majority of the minutes. Tighten things up a lil but.

I agree. This would be my starting lineup.

Nic Moore
Keith Frazier
Marcus Kennedy
Yannic Moreira
Nick Russell

I agree, he's not a liability or a problem, not really my argument. My argument is more geared towards why does he start? Why not Kennedy? Is it simply because he's a senior? Not a very good reason imo if that's it. Kennedy and Moore were the most productive bigs. Brown's rotation right now is very questionable. He needs to cut the rotation to 7 guys and ride them, maybe 8. Right now he's got 5 guards for 2-3 spots and 5 forwards for 2-3 spots. That's too many for players to get comfortable and build confidence/chemistry.

I still like Frazier off the bench, his handles and decisions are suspect at this point but they absolutely need his shooting in the worst way. Not to mention he's a big enough guard to get his shot when he needs it.

Agree.

I don't see why we kept with Russell and I keep hearing that Manuel is in for his defense but I don't know. Cincy is a quality team, no doubt. And beating them on the road is very very tough (and UConn and Louisville and Memphis will all be tough - of course EVERYONE will be tough to beat on the road). But, we are very close. Clear out the dead wood like Russell and a couple others (that sounds mean, sorry) and replace them with Mudiay and one other stud and we get evenly matched (or even better). I'm very excited about this team and it's future. But we are not world beaters quite yet.

That was really disappointing not to have a better effort. Easily could have been in the game. Hope we learn from that. Sloppy sloppy and just idiotic passes

Cincy is a difficult place to get a W.
Good job on Kirkpatrick.
12, 35, & 1 have to play better than that.

I thought the difference in the game was really the poor passing leading to easy buckets on the TO's.

The player rotations were interesting.

100% agree with this. And Yannick needs to step up and play BIG. We were very soft at the rim offensively tonight.

I thought Yannick started off the game great & got a quick hook to the bench.
Again, interesting sub patterns tonight. Hard to get in the flow.
