Wasting key strokes. He's clearly a big get for any program, but you won't be able to convince many on here that he won't average 20 and be the key to cutting down nets April. He's a thin 11 ppg box score alumnus in the making. Hope he ends up in red/blue, but then he'll be a red/blue 11 ppg box score alumnus.

If his immediate value isn't overwhelming, is Turner's NBA appeal based purely on his potential in 2-3 years as he puts on weight? Or is a 11 ppg guy already on the high side for what we should expect from a OAD?

And the other doesn't know when to admit defeat and move on.

Simply put- Stallion can't stand the fact that someone is more knowledgeable than himself on a particular subject. I appreciate both of their contributions as well but only one acts like a petulant child and that's Stallion. Also before we anoint Stallion emperor let's remember he said there was a 0% chance June Jones was coming to SMU and acted like we were all idiots for speculating on it- a week later he was introduced as HC. Sometimes, even knowledgeable people get things wrong. It'd be nice if one of them could admit it every once in awhile

Yup. I'm not even sure he gets that if Moreira is healthy next year. You have to play the kid and in terms of college production he not neccessarily more valuable than any of our 4 bigs.

He has no knowledge of anything that has occured at an SMU unofficial visit during Larry Brown's tenure. Really don't care how dirty Hoopmanx is-I'm sure he is-he'll readily admit it. I care that he not insinuate on an SMU message board that SMU is cheating. I've been well versed on NCAA cheating since before Hoopmanx was in kindergarten.

Ummm, one big unofficial this year was from a kid under my company's, specifically my departments, thumb. Just saying.

And you weren't there-you said just the other day you have not been back in Dallas in awhile

Did I claim I was there?, I merely said I know about the trip and some of its finer points through the folks that have the kid locked in. I also didn't say or intimate we did things wrong

Good questions. I think Turner's value is based on continued development. So few bigs can step in and dominate. I actually believe Alexander (by comparison) will be an exception given his frame. Not that CA or any other freshman won't hit the wall, but Turner's value for SMU will be almost entirely publicity. I know there aren't too many options at this point, but I would absolutely prefer for SMU to pick up a #60 at this point (~Shepherd).

Rumor has it that Myles showed up to school this morning riding a mustang bare back and could be heard singing "yeah, I go to SMU, where the girls lookin fly and the guys are fresh too..."

He's skilled , can run, and has size. He's just not an alpha kid. His potential and ceiling is immense, but youll just get glimmers on a deep team in a OAD scenario

CA is definitely ready by comparison. He knows who he is, and plays w/a chip, plus the frame. Turner likes to face at the elbow, doesn't really overpower people, and hasn't shown a ton over either shoulder. what he does best vs kids like CA is pull them away from the hoop. He would be really good at grown, used in a similar capacity as green and Monroe were.

Answers much appreciated. If he's still going to be undersized for college after his OAD year (and even more so the NBA), I guess the common wisdom is that his skills will develop faster playing pro (better coaches, higher competition, etc.) while he tries to bulk up rather than sticking around for a couple of years? Or is it a purely future financial security move for a player like Miles.

He'd be a good high post player then imo.
