We lose our 2nd game in the conference and everyone starts behaving like we just lost in the first round of the conference tourney. Chill people.

Dude, our schedule is the meat of the tough part. It is a big deal. Have to win at Tulsa.

I felt bad at halftime when we were only up by 5.
We missed KF tonight.

Unless we win out or win the AAC tournament , I don't see an NCAA bid.

I will be so disappointed if we don't go to the NCAA tournament.

Don't know if you could call it tanked. Cincinnati just has a bit better overall team than SMU at this point. Cincinnati has 3 outside shooters and good physical bigs. SMU has one outside shooter and good bigs. And both teams play good defense. It is what is is at this point.

LB even said he did a terrible job getting the team ready for Cincinnati's zone. Has to be a career highlight of the Cincinnati assistant coach to win 2 games against LB.

I think people are concerned because most of our conference wins have come against teams that are not that good other than Temple. SMU can rebound against the remaining schedule but it will not be a cakewalk.

We haven't beaten a single RPI top 50 team. This was a big [deleted] deal

There's this pretty cool thing on the internet now - google.com

if one types in a few things one can get some information.

1. Cinci did not lose to Houston

2. Cinci shot 18% from 3 in the ECU game and about 38% overall. They shot over 50% against us in both areas.

As a side note: One would be hard pressed to find a college game where one team shot over 50% from beyond the 3 point line and lost.

oh… we only scored 6 baskets from the field in the second half.

Holy crap, the sky is falling.

Cincy is a bad matchup. They have size down low to neutralize that advantage we normally have. And guards that can contain Nic (shut out in the first half). We don't have a third scorer that can make up for that.

That said, they hit crazy shots. I haven't seen any team make that many contested shots that deep in the shot clock. Crap happens sometimes, and we didn't have the offense to make up for their great shooting.

Games like this show exactly why bigs will get you a great record for the season, but the guard/perimeter play is what wins tourney basketball. We didn't get enough of that, all credit to Cincy. And Cincy showed tonight why if they make the tournament, they will be dangerous. Just ask NC State, who they housed.

A really bad loss. Our bigs missed a dozen cripples cause they are wimps and a tough team rips them a new one. When Cunningham is you leader you are in trouble. This is an NIT team and we might as.well accept it. That assumes we don't puke at Tulsa. If so, we could be.done. cannot overstate the seriousness of this loss.

He did a terrible job game planning for this game, non adaptive in every way. Only way Cincinnati can score is if Caupain or Cobb shoot well. So what does he tell our players to do? Collapse on every post dribble and over help consistently.

They shot 50+% from 3!!!

We collapse on everyone.

That's the point I am trying to make. You have to be opponent adaptable.
