Just got back from the game. The second half made me believe we actually might have a team someday

That's pretty impressive considering the crappy start.

I think the FT's will come once they feel more comfortable (frosh)

A win. On the road. Against a psuedo D-1 opponent. Not bad.

I was at the game as well and this was my experience with they Mustangs this year and here's my takeaway.

#22 looks like he has the ability to be a good point guard. He's strong with the ball bringing it up the court while being pressured. I also liked his shooting form on the FT line (4-4 FT i think) and has a silky smooth shooting style.

#10 looks like our best slasher to the basket. He made many good moves to the basket, but he needs to still adjust to the speed of the game as he did force a few shots at the basket where if he'd of calmed down a bit he would have had better, easier shots. He will improve.

#42 Papa - he will get stronger and does have a good basketball body. Long, lean and explosive. More strength will help his post game. He did settle for some baseline jumpers, but that doesn't seem to be his shot as his % was probably 30% or so, a little flat too. I will say that Papa seems to have the sky as his limit he'll just need to learn to be more aggressive and attack the basket instead of the making the dreaded fadeaway shot from inside 3 feet.

All in all, I'd say we are improving and starting to pick up our intensity. Although, we didn't play well in the first 10 minutes, I did think the guys were playing hard. I did recall Harp diving for lose balls, which is always a good sign.

The team is young and if they can come together, work hard and improve, we'll be OK.
