Picking the NCAA tournament field

Speaking of the Cougars, pretty big blow for them on Wednesday as they lost at UAB, 101-99.

UAB played mempho closer than UH, both teams played pretty well though.

Edit: Arizona and Oregon need good showings in the Pac 10 tournament

With a RPI of 31 and the #2 SOS, Arizona is in unless OSU upsets them Wednesday.

Oregon will definitely be in if they upset WSU Thursday. If they lose, they'll be squarely on the fence.

Don't forget about ASU! RPI and SOS are in the 70's but they have a number of good wins (5-6 vs. RPI top 50).

St. Mary's, Gonzaga
Edit: St. Mary's may have hurt itself with its semifinal loss to San Diego in the tournament. But if San Diego beats Gonzaga in the final, would the committee have the courage to take 3 from this league?

St. Mary's still gets a number of votes in the polls and has a RPI of 38.

Bump to San Diego upsetting Gonzaga. WCC is getting three in the tournament. And it should.
