Tough loss. Kind of hard to win on the road against a ranked team when you don't score the last 4:24 of the game. Both teams were pretty evenly matched though - they just hit a few more shots than us. This conference tournament should be real interesting - in my opinion, it's wide open!

When I turned on the TV, we scored to go ahead, then we didn't score again. That UTEP point guard was quick and really was clutch down the stretch.

We were playing really well when we pulled those 3 fouls from whatshername in under a minute. She went from 0 fouls to foul trouble and really had to slow down a bit. UTEP's bench was pretty successful last night, too IIRC. The ladies played incredibly well nonethless, especially against the no. 19 team in the nation. I think the game was much closer than the final score indicated, although the ponies were chasing for a majority of the game.

It seems in big games this team always shoots poorly. Hard to figure.

I look at it like a blessing in disguise. We played this team well both times and lost really in the last 3 minutes both times. If we meet them in the finals of the Conference Tournament we will win. It's extremely difficult to beat a team 3 times in a row and I just don't believe they will lose 3 to that team. So UTEP may win the battle but we will win the war and there is nothing wrong with losing to a TOP 25 team and actually taking to the wire. All is not lost and the sign of a true championship team is how they come out the next game. We will continue to see what this team is made of and I believe they will rise to the occassion. Go Mustangs!!
