 Dave Bliss was a God-fearing, Christian coach, too. So what?

Bring your proof or shut it. It's easy to throw accusations and its real clear Drew is walking a fine line, not only w/Wall, but he's very sly on how to get the most from his shoe affiliation w/relation to certain AAU flagships, but none of that is illegal. If you have a smoking gun, that they are paying, lets hear it.

Make a list of all the top 50 national recruits that Baylor pursued and lost.
Make a list of all the top 50 national recruits that Baylor actually signed.

Now compare the two and see which list has more names on it.

Each year Baylor recruits at least 30 kids off of the national lists. 27 or 28 of them say "no thanks." Only 2 or 3 say "yes." The rest of the world strictly notices the 2 or 3 that say yes.

The Baylor coaches work harder at recruiting than any other staff in the state. They are also better organized.

bottom line is we are out recruited in basketball and football by every division 1 private school in the state, including Rice. The results say it all
We are outrecruited in basketball by Rice? By TCU? The results say it all? That must be why we lost to them last year...that must be why we haven't beaten TCU in the past few years at all...
I dont think there is any question that TCU's incoming class, their first under Jim Christian, is clearly superior to ours. Ronnie Moss, Kevin Butler, Kavon Rose and the 3 JC kids will all make an immediate impact.

Rice just got a commitment from Tamir Jackson.

Rice was the worst team in the country last year because they were riddled with injuries, and had no home court while Autry was being renovated. Go back a little further than just last year, or the year before, and look at the series between SMU and TCU, and SMU and Rice.
I'll buy that TCU's 08 class, the first under Christian, may be better based on size & JC contributions, but few have any of their incoming frosh as better then McCoy or even Otis. If you add in Faye, an ACC level transfer, who is basically the same age as their JCs, its a push at worst

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I could have sworn that Moss was ranked in top-100 nationally, before he went away to prep school, which would put him well ahead of Otis and McCoy, but in the long run it doesnt really matter, we're fortunate enough to have objective measurements that will be available in a few months. The two teams go head to head in November, and by the end of the year statistics should give a decent picture of which class is making the stronger contribution to their team.

Perhaps I am a bit biased because I've seen much more of Moss, Butler and Ruzgas, than I have Otis and the others. When the season starts we'll see more.
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.

AP Top 25 came out this in this morning's paper...Baylor is three spots out.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
