Appears that fatigue has set in as play is getting sloppy and their legs are not supporting their shots.

BTW, what did we think of the substitutions of Dia and Haynes when we were down one and then immediately watched the game get away from us?

We ran out of steam and were gassed by the end of this game even with the substitutions. What did you expect? Us to play 7 guys all game long against a team with superior athletes/talent/depth?

Agreed.....we ran out of steam....maybe Doh should run them harder

There are a few moving pieces on this team, but 2 or 3 less then I would have thought by this time in Doh's tenure. How Doh closes out this class will say a bunch. Need some toughness and a few people that can flat out score.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

They are Thugs and your team is 2nd tier...now lets go get some BBQ.

Over all the effort was good; however, our lack of bench, consistent scoring, turn overs and fatigue insured that we could not sustain the effort and fall short.

Really? Memphis has better talent than SMU? I would have never guessed that.
I was fine with Dia just because he has been in the rotation -- although he sucks -- but with Haynes, I just didn't like it. There were a lot of game mgmt problems in that stretch. Turned out to be the coaching move that pretty much sucked the life out of the upset.
They played about as well as they could. But against teams like Memphis, your season-long sins are exploited more than ever.
The only players on this roster who look salvagable are McCoy, Williams and Otis. Nyakundi can be a role player. That's about it.
Faye has a lot of issues to work with on his game. Dia is pretty much a lost cause unless there is some transformation.
Look for news this spring about JUCOs coming to the hilltop because it won't get better with this crew.

yep, so classless we bring 17,780 loyal fans to every game...SMU can't get that for football.
and our student section doesn't get Tech's
Ford...keep your arrogance, your 6-14 record, and re-tread coach.
to the classy SMU fans...good game and good luck.

Mempis, as a town, has a HUGE inferiority complex..HUGE!! Memphis State, the U of M mirrors that..they have nothing, really, expect their hoop team. The degree is second rate, the school is not pretty, fairly old / cold / damp / crime riddled..would NOT send my kids there, no way. So...you get alot of this type "feedback" after a hoop W..that's all they got. Really pretty sad. I think Foxworthy based most of his routine off of MSU...I read that somewhere.
