yeah, thats fine, but i hated to see us [deleted] away any momentum for the program from the Memphis win as overrated as they were. That Houston team was just terrible and missing its best players. I know we are not good ourselves, but when you are at home, you have to win those to be at all respectable.

Just relax. Firing Doherty won't matter anyway. According to the AAU crime boss, the SMU coaching job is a graveyard situation anyway.

Just calling bullshift for what it is...and reminding you at every opportunity.

And I would say it's vice versa since you were the first one to come after me on the Josh Pastner thread.

Hmmmm

I don't why you were freaked out about the game today, this is an exhibition season anyway.

Yea, except you aren't actually making a point anywhere, just trying to call me out, which always results in your eventual beat down. Meanwhile, you listen to the last 8 minutes on the radio, and pretend like you know a damn thing. I'll keep sweating this exhibition season, cause I sweat every single time we take the court. I sweat recruiting and everything behind the scenes as well.

FWIW, the head coaching position at SMU needed rehabbing and its been rehabbed. It has been a graveyard, but the proper steps were taken. Clearly you can't see that, b/c college basketball has let you down, or maybe the zoloft just isn't working. Also, I didn't come after you on the Pastner thread, I merely called you a disingenuous turd, which is what you are. You hang out on an SMU basketball board and never ever watch games. You just spew nonsense on the drive-by. Some of us actually enjoy hoops and care about the program. Novel concept, I know.

no kidding...after coming back in with about 4 minutes left, Jfrog hit another teardrop, then went down and caused a turnover which led to an SMU three-pointer. 5 point turnaround..four point deficit to one point lead. And then Doh subbed Haynes back in.

Looked like frog was the victim of one of Doh's punishments, riding the pine for 80% of the second half after a turnover.

Frog should have gotten more than 24 minutes. His problem is defensively where he gets rubbed pretty easily, and is too small to truly close out on shooters. When the other team is on fire from 3, most coaches opt for length out front, if they can. That's why you saw a bunch of Haynes at point. The negative of Haynes is that he's statistically irrelevant, has no swagger, and needs a lobotomy, if he's ever to hit a decent percentage from the stripe. After he missed the two FTS, in came Frog. Kid immediately split the double and nailed a tear drop. That's just my take, though. You should ask Patton, he listened to the last 8 minutes on the radio

good to see Williams on the bench now as well. Just sitting there, he looks like a man among boys.

He was also a non factor on O when Thibodeaux was guarding him. Thibodeaux literally just stood most of the time on D against Frog. Then Thibodeaux is nice and fresh as he sets up to shot a 3. To get a shooter out of his rhythm, it helps to make them work at both ends of the floor. Frog was not in a good position to stop a good shooter or to make him work [deleted] D.

Jfrog - yes, that makes since in terms of defensive liability. UH hit 11 of 19 from 3 - ridiculous.

SMU was 62% from FT - weak

Haynes is in for defensive purposes only as we can all see.....Jfrog stays low on his guy in position on D but the bigger 1 and 2's can pop the shot over him...on the other hand jfrog is down low and makes some steals beacause they bring the ball low and he jabs the ball out. He will make more and more steals just because he is down low....Jfrog needs to watch much film on the Mavs small PG ' JJfrog' Berea, who does similar things and is a liability on D also, but he makes up for it with his energy and abiliy to break dwon the D in the middle. "JJfrog' Barea also makes alot of steals when they bring the ball down to his level.
Yeah SMU didn't shoot well on the line and UH shot well at the line...one is the top and one is the bottom of FT% in CUSA...it was just the opposite yesterday. It will even out as the shooters will %wise make their shots over the course of the season. Doh seems to be patient with the shooters as you HAVE to be, otherwise you get in their heads....don't do it.
