Wonder if they will fix the floor so the bleachers can pull out properly?

Isn't this a rendering?

You just ruined my afternoon, thanks.

I'm not pro-Doh at all, but I really don't get the hate either. At the very least, watch conference play. Seems to me they have a few more loses than they should, but there's at least 17 games to play, almost all against teams we can beat. Now we get to see if Doh can figure out a way to run the gauntlet. That's entertainment.

we can certainly beat UCF now that they only have one of Michael Jordan's spawn.

They better get updated lights so they can turn them on/off for starting lineups. My biggest pet peeve.

Hoop, I'm not sure we'll ever agree on this subject. I've actually sat in classes with players that he's coached and let's just say I don't approve of his methods (or ability as a coach). Given his ability to be an above average recruiter, I thought he was a good mid-major hire. For the long-term prosperity of the program, he needs to go. I realize SO may not want to cut bigger checks to a new coach until BE money is flowing, so I'll just deal with it. It's just time to expect more.

Say what you will on that, but I think there are counters to that arguments. Example- Ike's brother signed with SMU. He and his family cited Doherty and what he did for Ike while at SMU as the driving factor for signing. If that isn't a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is.

Uche didn't have too many options. Besides, you don't have to get your info 2nd hand. Doh serves it up for the world to see -- live and in person.

Uche had a Colorado, and ended up w/a Penn St & UTEP as well as some others. Technically, he had better options, just none closer.

While the rational part of me understands that major renovations are part of the program, the emotional Mustang BB fan in me is not happy with the renovations. I remember packing the place in 80's for games against teams like Arkansas (I plead guilty for saying very mean things to Nolan Richardson from directly behind him in the student sectio).

When filled with a big crowd, Moody is a great, loud place to watch a game.

But progress is progress.

Dig,

How can you not love the major renovations? Orsini stressed that he wanted to keep Moody's old-time feel, but update it with new amenities a la Cameron Indoor.

I have personal experience w/the other side of the equation. A wildly successful hoops program that funds the whole AD, decides to build an albatross of a building that's sterile and lacks history. Being completely real, the wave of the future is world class practice facilities and 'renovated fieldhouse' style gyms complete w/2012 amenities. What we're doing w/Crum & moody is exactly what needs to be done. Not just in terms of look/feel, but in terms of program prosperity.

Can't get to the Rice game tonight but a group of Frat Bros are planning on doing the Houston game on Jan. 18.
