I couldn't let your comments on law and medical schools pass without comment.

1)Law School: UNT is opening a law school at a time when there is an enormous glut in the legal profession. Last week, I read an interesting article on how NYU and Columbia law school graduates couldn’t get job in this economy. As a startup, UNT’s law school is going to be in the lowest tier. Most of their graduates will be lucky to get a job as a paralegal.

2)Medical School: The UNT Medical School is an Osteopathic program. In the pecking order of Medical Schools, it ranks above the schools in Mexico and the Caribbean. That’s about it.

BTW - There were 500+ people in my class at UT law. Not one of them was from NTSU.

Forget all the UNT bull _ _ _ _, Jones is a great candidate for the job.
The timing is perfect, more $$ and a bigger stage.
I don't think there's another realistic hire out there that can make the immediate impact that Jones can. "Just Do It"

anyone.....and i mean ANYONE.....but JONES. its one thing to have success at NTSU...where you get fallouts from other major schools that can't make the grades and then suddenly get accepted and are in the starting lineup at NTSU....thats how they have had success up there...without those types of players...its your typical sun belt school..hovering around or below 500.

If Orsini goes with Jones...that will TRULY show where his commitment to the program is...go hire a proven coach...not a coach with a background of violating the NCAA rules (i.e. Memphis) and losing conference title games to bad sun belt programs.

Agreed. Jones would be a fine coach for SMU.

with any kind of bar on admissions Jones is 1/10th as successful. He is ok, but we can do better.
