Re: Jay Bilas Ranks Top 68 Teams in America: SMU #22I wish they would get rid of the double bonus, or at least start it at 12 fouls. The one-and-one is one of the great things about college bball.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: Jay Bilas Ranks Top 68 Teams in America: SMU #22
They added one last season. Once a team has stalled their possession, an invisible thirty second shot clock starts. It sped up the game dramatically and increased scoring. I loved it as a player, coach and spectator. Pay Lashlee more money
Re: Jay Bilas Ranks Top 68 Teams in America: SMU #2228. Southern Methodist Mustangs (Previous ranking: 22)
Temple was able to pull the upset against Larry Brown's Mustangs, proving that players have ups and downs, even when coached by Hall of Famers. The Mustangs allow 20.0 points per game in the paint -- the fewest of any major conference team -- and outscore opponents by 16.3 points per game in the lane, the best paint differential for any major conference team. Re: Jay Bilas Ranks Top 68 Teams in America: SMU #2821. Southern Methodist Mustangs (Previous ranking: 21)
SMU allows 20.9 points per game in the paint, fewest in the AAC and second-fewest among major-conference teams. (Virginia leads at 20.8.) The Mustangs outscore their opponents by an average of 13.9 points per game in the paint, the best differential among major-conference teams. SMU is 1-4 against the Sagarin top 25 and 4-6 against the top 50. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
