IMO, that was our best defensive effort of the year. We played suffocating D, which is now officially our identity. On the flip side, I think it was our best offensive game of the year shooting 54% against what many consider the best defense in the country. We were out rebounded by six and about the only thing we can complain about is the number offensive rebounds we gave up. Still we played such great defense it really didn't hurt us.

WOW! I had to go back five pages to find this thread. That's how active the bball board is these days. Crazy.

Rutgers shot 41% from the field. After struggling on the boards early, we finished +1 in rebounding.

we were down 5 in rebounds at one point. These rebounding numbers are getting closer because Kennedy has been taken out of the game because of fouls. I like closing with Kennedy and Cunningham

My biggest complaint with Cannen is when he dribbles around the basket. He frequently gets stripped. I wish he would just go up with it.

the guy still hasn't come close to reaching his potential although he is coming on strong. Other than his monster dunks he plays like a SF. Hands/dribbling are obvious weaknesses. I think he still has substantial upside potential if he really hit the weight room. He seems like a guy who might need some post-college seasoning but as he physically matures I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a living on some level

I would agree with that. At times he's spectacular but still has the tendency to disappear

Kennedy though is a load in the paint, can dribble, makes outstanding moves for a big man and goes strong to the basket . He's also a dominating rebounder. He does sometimes have trouble with his hands.

there's a huge diff between Cannen and Marcus. Marcus post moves are great. Cannen uses his height for sure. He just plays soft. Marcus is a banger. Cannen unfortunately has soft hands too, ever since day 1.

Defense & Rebounding

Got out scored in the paint tonight. Script was reversed and we still won. Nice job, the outside shooting was a good compliment.

Project this team with the best HS player in the country. That's what we have IMO. Top 10

Temple shot 40% from the field. We lost because we got killed on the boards, Temple +13
