Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesI was thinking the same thing. Somehow tie football and basketball tickets together.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
Tickets are much cheaper than UT tickets....... Peruna is my mascot!

Much
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
To force fans to buy tickets to a POS program in order to get bball tickets is a bad idea IMO. If they really were serious about getting butts in the seats for that other program then they would made the changes necessary to make that program successful and exciting as well. That is like making a person buy a used Yugo in order to buy a new Mercedes. Don't destroy the enthusiasm for bball by doing something really stupid!
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
I agree. Our tickets are closer to TCU season ticket prices, maybe Baylor. Anyways I might end up doing what the other guy suggested which was buying endzone tickets for way cheap and go sit in my usual 50yard tickets.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesforcing me to buy smu football tix will make me hate it even more.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
I can't even believe they charge for SMU football right now ![]()
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
June Jones - lack of recruiting - antiquated offense Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesyou also might add 'lack of commitment' to achieve continued success from the CofC.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
Antiquated offense that doesn't run the ball which results in constant 3 and outs or an ocassional field goal play because we are stuck on 3 and 1 in the red zone, call a pass play instead of pounding the ball and getting that touchdown. Meanwhile our opponents possess the ball most of the time which tires our defense and results in the guys not being able to be clutch in the 4th quarter...resulting in a blowout loss. Do what others have suggested-give the ball to Gresham, celebrate touchdown...repeat.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesThe big hit will be Football Season tix.
I asked at the ticker office and it looks like we will pay Big 12 prices for Football. $250 plus 500 donation for 2014 compared to $99 and no donation for 2013. More reason for me to boulevard and then watch games at Barley house?
Tickets are much cheaper than UT tickets.......
Hope you are not suggesting that our football program is on par with UT and that we are getting tickets at a bargain?? Forcing to buy football tickets with Bball tickets is chicken S___. Each program needs to stand on it's own.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesA donation for the right to buy football season tickets? Haha.
If it weren't for the Aggies and Tech the last two years buying season tickets, we'd be pathetic in sales numbers. Surely the athletic office isn't that silly.

Most who want to attend but don't want to get raped for doing so will buy an end zone seat and them go sit on the 30 yd line...or near mid-field on the visitor's side
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix pricesNot paying $1,000 for two FB tix. Nope. No way.
Re: Straight from Hart - court rush, tix prices
http://smu.edu/mustangclub/2014_SMUDonorTicketGuide.pdf This shows $150 is the lowest donation level with no donation required for non-priority seating. Prices are TBD. Sounds dubious that they would raise endzone seats to $80 a game - have enough trouble filling the place as it is.
