Make an impression - chant his name non-stop for the entire halftime break. Pony up!

Currently:
1Duke 4
2Kentucky 4
3North Carolina 3
4Ohio State 4
5Louisville 5
6UNLV 3
7Georgetown 4
8Kansas 2
9Arizona 4
10Seton Hall 5

32Southern Methodist 1

I may be way off here but I think the BB rankings weigh a lot on the number signed, so I would say probably no. Next year we should be higher if we actually sign 7.

Top 10 maybe.

Probably second best pair of recruits after Duke, although we could easily make an argument.

We should at least be ranked ahead of Kansas at #8 because they have two recruits ranked #4 and #12 in the class. We would have two ranked #2 and #6 in the class.

Speaking of Kansas, Embiid's recent woes definitely work in our favor if he ends up staying in school another year. With Turner, Kansas' rank shoots up to 2 or 3 though.

If Embid stays at Kansas, it has to be down to UT and SMU right?

I wonder how much Okla St's recent woes have played into this...

Is Mudiay claiming to be good friends with Turner just talk or are they actually friends? This relationship is what would do it for us.

I believe his list is Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, and Texas. SMU is kind of a "dark horse", but it's obvious we have a shot. Turner hasn't said so, but I think Duke is gonna be out because of Okafor. Kansas would be out if Embiid stays, but he'll probably still go unless things get worse. I don't have any idea how the schools might be "ranked" by Turner right now, but I think OhioBrownFan said he liked Ohio State's chances.

Myles is a smart kid and is playing his cards tight. It'll probably still be a while and I think the best thing SMU can do is stay in touch and keep winning. Mudiay's overtures can't hurt either.

Agreed. His officials have been to Okie St, Ohio St as I recall. Not sure if he has visited Kansas yet...?

Haven't heard anything about Zona/Duke/Kentucky in a long time...safe to say those schools are out?

Bill Self told Myles that if Embid stays at Kansas then he should NOT come to KU.

But if I'm Bill Self and I know Embid is going to the NBA, then I tell Myles that same line to gain his trust even if I know Embid is gone.

I personally think Duke is out and I don't know the scholarship situation at Kentucky or Arizona but they both have 4 recruits already. Kentucky might be out because they're pretty stocked on big guys (I never count out Calipari though), but I think Arizona is still in it. I think I read an interview where he said he was planning an official visit to Tuscon.

Embid is a big man with back soreness, there is no way he stays in college and let's his back soreness become back problems before he gets paid top 3 lottery pick money.

That said I can't imagine smu is an attractive place for a top level big man who wants to be a 1 and done player. Next year we have 3 big men coming back, 1 score 1 defensive player and 1 solid back up. LB only let's you play if you play strong fundamental defense, freshman will be a step down on the practice court and not likely to see starting minutes until at the very least the end of the year with the players in front of him.

I think Turner's attendance is more of a nod to Larry and staff for staying on him, similar to Harison twins. It is bad karma to have a NBA HOF coach continue to show of interest in your game despite saying not interested and not go to a game down the street.

However, if we keep winning and have another game with awesome atmosphere in Moody, he may give us a spot on his list. He may be surprised.

Agreed. And the exact sentiment of most NBA draft articles I've read. We'll see. College kids do weird things sometimes...
