Still way too many empty red seats last night, sections on the end were worse.
ya'know, it was a Wednesday, and some of those empties were enjoying a cocktail in the bar area...

How much does it cost to get a season ticket in the vaunted red seats?

$2500 donation gets you access to 4 seats. The ticket prices are TBD for next year.

that's the minimum for Miller. $2500 for floor/club (red); $5000 for loge; plus cost of seats

actually I believe the red seats in the corners are only a $1000 donation.

That is correct and I guess they come with Miller access too.

I've been hearing that the "premium" seats donation levels will go up quite a bit. Most of the arena will see modest increases but premium seats will see the hike fwiw

I know some of the "loyal 1500" have puked at the notion (understandably so), but this is my guess too. Top seats at good schools is a painful "investment". With a chance that I might move back to KC, I looked into getting decent seats at AFH and it would have literally cost me more than what I paid for my MBA at SMU (in Williams Fund points). Higher costs will likely come before winning as winning requires $.

I was talking to the ticket office the other day. I mentioned that I may want to upgrade to better seats next year. I was told that there may not be a lot of opportunity but that in 2 years there would be some adjustments made that may tend to open up some better seating. I am not certain if that was in reference to cost, points, or something else. I was told that at my point level I should be able to improve. Not saying the prices do not increase next year but I had the impression nothing drastic would occur at that time, but rather in 2 years.

Points. They will re-seat the arena, very common. Every 3 years or so, most big programs will re-do seating based on points. Cost will be going up, that I know for fact, how much hasn't been determined yet. Meetings going on this coming week I believe from what I was told.

If this really happens (which I have doubts because of so many good old boy arrangements) and points are used in a redistribution of club seats, then those who are considering not renewing football better think twice. Not having season tickets as well as not having them used, adversely affects points and could have a negative impact on your basketball seats. Whether you like it or not, it is all connected.
