The block out is really cool- but let's focus on getting everyone to wear one color first before we start blocking out sections. We've gotta walk before we can run

Agreed. I personally like the idea of a white out over a red or blue out. IMO lighter colors tend to standout more on tv in basketball arenas as opposed to darker colors especially with the way the lighting is structured at Moody.

Not that you're serious, but encouraging people to bring 2/3 of an IED into a packed coliseum seems...questionable.

Drape a white shirt on each empty red seat.

Today I learned that there is an exact shade of red that is SMU red. They can't be just read, it's in the branding guide book ha. I forget the exact shade though to make the color.

Harvard crimson and Yale blue are our official School colors; however, we use Pantone 186 and Pantone 286, respectively. These are technically lighter shades of the original colors chosen by Hyer.

Really? I'd never heard that. Screw Harvard and Yale... and their colors. Some drunk Methodist minister probably hiccupped those "official" colors into the record at a trustee meeting in 1911. Nobody cares.

Actually some do care that are colors come from 2 of the highest academic institutions in the world.

The University’s first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Red and Yale Blue as the school colors to symbolize SMU’s high standards.

Is it too early for the sun dresses and cowboy boots that flood the boulevard? Like the shorts blazers and ties on the gents as well.

I am confused. Are we trying to copy the big time programs or bring our uniqueness to the national stage?

Robert S. Hyer, the school's first president (1911-1920), selected those colors.

I think it's a great symbolic definition, but even Harvard and Yale are inconsistent with the shades. I like SMU red and blue as defined in the guidebook.

I wasn't; but FYI you really wouldn't feel safe at HS football game in West Texas then...
