You know, I'd really love to see SMU make it to the Sweet Sixteen.

It's great and all with us making the tourney, but we win our 1st two games and suddenly there's almost a week before our next game and now the media is focused on just 16 teams, not 64+.

So this are my 3 mini-SMU goals.

1) undefeated at Moody & at home.

2) respectable conference tourney showing (we have done so poorly for so long).

3) Sweet 16 appearance.

Is that asking too much?, I don't think so.

The exciting thing is if we do this imagine our ceiling for next year adding Mudiay to the mix and basically (hopefully) returning most everybody. I know losing Russell will hurt but adding in Mudiay and hopefully another guy we are going after will be nice.

I know, master of stating the obvious but I just like saying it....

In College basketball you never know if you will lose kids to transfer or academic issues, but if we keep our current squad plus the 2014 recruiting class and have made a sweet 16 run, i wouldn't be shocked if we were really high on peoples preseason rankings and to havepeople talking about us as a potential final 4 team. How crazy is the world in which we live.

Yup, just like Jalen last year. I'm also worried about someone bolting prematurely to the NBA but hopefully LB can keep the team intact!

I think Keith Frazier is also a key to how far we can go. He came in with raw talent and no discipline and couldn't have a better coach to teach him the game. His defense is steadily improving and he is beginning to make better decision most of the time. Once his confidence is restored in his shot, I think the sky is the limit. And Lord knows we need another scoring option.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

I don't think anyone is NBA ready yet but you never know who wants to make the jump even when being told not to...
