Duke coping SMU with celebs

Point is that we are fighting for Tuner now. Not worried about if they come next season. They aren't doing it to play nice. They are doing it to get Tuner out of our backyard. This has nothing to do with them having a good time it has to do with hard care legal recruiting tactics. They are trying to neutralize our edge. Get ready because it look like we will be going against those stuck up dukies for a while in recruiting.

Oh well, if celebrity star power at games is gonna effect Myles Turner, then I am even more confident about our chances. Duke will never be able to outdo Dallas star power. NEVER!

I would even be encouraged that SMU has forced Duke's hand.

This isn't Romo's first Duke/Carolina game. Pretty sure he's a big Duke fan because I know he's been to games at Cameron Indoor before fwiw. Either way, I really doubt them showing up to a game has any affect on recruits.

Alright, has very minimal effect. I've never heard of a kid in my life picking a school because of who shows up at games nor have I talked to friends that ever mentioned it being a reason they went where they did to play their ball lol. Just enhances the game day atmosphere if anything. Point was, the atmosphere at Cameron didn't need enhanced and those two being there aren't going to make a difference.

Jason Garrett has spent time at Duke in the recent past, observing their practices and trying to learn from one of the winningest coaches in all of sports. He and Coach K have an established relationship so it's highly unlikely that this trip was thrown together in the last week to counter SMU.

I think I saw that too. Garrett is studying the best coaches in any sport & has spoken to Coach K in the past.

Duke/UNC is the best rivalry basically in any sport in the world. Like I said, if I had the means, I would go too. Duke doesn't really need celebs to sell.

Duke seems to jam a ton of students down low. Pretty awesome. Wish we could do the same. Our suites are money makers but all the same, would be great to be 9K.
