Yep. I didn't think it would happen until a potential Arkansas game but Monday is going to be interesting to say the least.

Maybe the fire alarm before the game last night was a test for the fire marshal if he/she doesn't like tons of people filling all of the vomitories when they can't find a seat Monday.

I don't give a [deleted] about my seats but it seems like a logical conclusion that 6000 GA tickets for 6000 seats could be an issue.

You know, when the NIT brackets came out I was going to post this as a separate thread but it seemed too early. Now it seems appropriate here.

If we are fortunate enough to play Arkansas later next week, the atmosphere at Moody will be even crazier than for LSU.

To me, it supports my belief that an SEC presence would thrive in Dallas. Plenty of SEC fans & alumni here, and just as importantly, the SEC brand is powerful enough to raise the interest of the causal Dallas fan would could care less about an SMU-ECU sporting event, regardless of SMU's W/L record.

Realize the odds are low, simply stating our biggest weakness, lack of fan support, would not be insurmountable with SEC membership.

Potentially playing LSU and Arkansas in 1 week, the NIT is now looking a lot more attractive.

Perhaps you are unaware that Dallas is already "SEC Country"...

Funny pic but proves my point, they're fighting over Dallas supremacy.

Put us in a division with LSU, Ark, A&M, Ala, Auburn, MS & MS St and all but the Mississippi game each year would be a sell-out at a 55k Ford. Boulevard would be insane and Moody would be the most difficult ticket in Dallas.

As a new Dallas resident/SMU fan, I find it odd that fans are complaining about a sold out second round NIT game. For a team accustomed to drawing 1500, 5000+ tickets in 24 hrs. seems like an outstanding achievement that should be celebrated.

Right Ponyscott, he is taking it out of context. The season ticket holders just wanted a chance to get their seats that's all. Now as of a few minutes ago that is now going to happen.
