I consider an event a sellout when all tickets have been sold out…for the first time. We live in an age where they can change hands in an instant. I consider a full house a full house. Hence, you can have a sellout but not a full house.
And as for the LSU fans coming back…I thought about that too. Only this time they'll be bringing their own corn dogs.

I really despise ticket scalpers. I can understand if you aren't using your tickets and throw em on Stubhub occasionally to get your money back or whatever but people who do it constantly or to turn profits (AKA Hustlin) ruin good events. I sit in 210 and many times this season a scalper failed to sell tickets in my row and sat beside me (knew he was a scalper because he was on his phone the whole time not wearing SMU or the opposing teams gear). They stay for like the first 10 minutes of the first half and then peace out. I like having open seats next to me but I would rather have some rowdy SMU fans there.

There are a lot of tickets on stubhub, vivid seats, and even through the ticket office. Crowd tonight may be smaller than UC-Irvine

484 left. Let's hope this number keeps dropping.

The crowd will be at least as large as UC Irving, we have floor at this point of 5500 which is more than enought to make moody rock. My guess is a bunch of scampers saw the demand for the lsu game and bought up tickets hoping for Arkansas. Cal will have know one there which I think pretty much accounts for those 600 or so tickets up on stub hub.

EconPony- you seem rather against open market exchange.

And as a result having a few hundred empty seats won't really matter as the opposing team should basically have nobody there. The Arkansas guess is spot on. Those tickets would be gone if Arkansas had beaten Cal. I like it this way better.

Not at all, just don't like people who broker out tickets to events I want to go to haha

Arkansas was already down by 23 to Cal within 20 minutes of tickets going on sale. Doubt that's the case.

Many many people rely on a few good scalps to pay for their season tickets. I'm not talking specifically about Moody but rather about the rest of the world in general. And I think that's fair. Season ticket sales are the lifeblood of most sports teams (that and TV contracts).
Ticket scalpers are nothing more than a component of a market and probably no longer fit the old stereotype of the guy standing a block from the venue whispering "tickets…who needs tickets?"
Now…that sleazy guy sitting near you on his cellphone? Dope dealer or pimp….not ticket scalper.

I would go with dope dealer because his leather jacket with random sports teams patches on it was definitely not of "pimp" status. Made my girlfriend not want to come to any more games so I'm taking my buddy to this one.
