This is NOT the final document. The plan for next season is still being finalized. This was an erroneosly posted draft. Full details and info will be ready in a few weeks. Sorry for any confusion.

Fee is included for full-time students, but tickets not guaranteed unless you are a member of the MOB (was $50 last year). Had to wait in line no matter what. By the end of the year if you weren't in the MOB tickets were hard to come by

I don't see any problem with this if I'm understanding it all correctly. I like grandfathering in last year's season ticket holder as a sort of "reward" for making Moody so special. Bandwagoners should pay a bit more, after all, we need to get an ROI on the renovations.

I don't want SMU to get TOO carried away, but due to our small venue and now SMU being on the map, I think the demand will be there . . . at least next year . . .

I would love to know what the official plan is because I am still on the fence about renewing my football tickets. Yeah I know the deadline has passed, but I don't think people a clamoring for football tickets and when I last checked, my seats were still available.

If there is a significant increase in basketball ticket pricing I will let me tickets go for the remainder of the June Jones era and pick them back up when we get a coach who gives a flip.

We've got to help out young alumni and younger fans somehow, I'm hoping they are grandfathered in, or that the price increase isn't by like 300%.

We just can't screw over the one demographic we so desperately need to win back, and I think this is a group that is just starting to trust and believe SMU can produce a winner and create a really nice fan experience.

Exactly, me being a young alumni... I bought season tix last year not really knowing if the team would be good or not but to support them and check out New Moody... If my $125 per seat tix turn into $500 a piece then i'll be eating uncle Ben's rice and Ramen for a couple of months so I can fit it in my budget.

Yup yup. Even as an out of town pony, I was going to buy one of my buddies season tickets in 214 since he's moving and I'm in Dallas a lot. I'd gladly fork over $250 or $300 since they paid $175 last year. I'm probably not going to throw down for $500. Obviously my situation is different, but still.

And B12, I'm still not sure what you're getting at. All I'm saying is don't bite the hand that feeds you. You [deleted] enough young alumni off who feel they got nickeled and dimed all throughout college and you'll see them watching SMU bball games at barley house and not moody. Sure some older more affluent people will buy then, but do you want to chase away the rowdy fans that made moody a mad house?

I could see my $125 tickets going up to $350 - $400 but $500 is far too high. Reminds me of when SMU sends the donation requests starting at 5k; no regard for recent grads.

We need to make an exception for young alums. They will be the bigger donors as they get older but we can't price them out at this point.

Agreed. In a carefully limited fashion. Absolutely.

Which is why we alums need to stick together - try to hire SMU grads and teach them how to make LOTS of money! And so on and so forth. Pay it forward. SMU gave me the opportunity that led to working at The White House and then meeting my future wife that led to other great things. Would have never happened without my SMU affiliation, now I try to give back as much as I can while continuing to grow my own legacy (mostly to give back quite honestly).
