I don't get the Lamar and E Washington games. Maybe we had to find anyone but I'd rather play TCU in FW and someone like UTEP at home.

All of the major pre conference play tournaments have been finalized.

This schedule is a slight upgrade over last year's non-conference.

Indiana and Michigan are good in name only. They are projected to be middle of the pack Big 10 teams. Indy lost Vonleh (draft), Sheehey (Grad), Hollowell (transfer) and Etherington (transfer).

Michigan loses Stauskas, McGary, Jordan Morgan and Glenn Rob III. Yes, they will have Walton, Levert and Horf coming back, losing Nic really hurts.

You're going to have to help me here, Harry. This post has zero credibility in my opinion. To use your term, "middle of the pack" -- In the Big 10 that means solid NCAA tournament teams. What are you talking about?

If you think walking into Assembly Hall (I guess or is it in Indianapolis -- doesn't matter because it's up there) or Crisler Arena is nothing but giftwrapped wins (well, I don't know how you're viewing those games), then I can't help you. Final Four Wisconsin lost at IU which didn't even go to the postseason. Even in average years winning at Crisler isn't easy.

And SMU's road history pretty much is a stinker except for Houston and UConn.

This schedule is a MAJOR upgrade. It has exceptional balance to it. These are great challenges. And if we find a way to grab one of those two, then it's a tremendous feat.

One of those two won't be a problem since we will be going undefeated for the next 72 years in a row.

The top three opponents are an upgrade, no doubt, but how does it have exceptional balance? The bottom five teams are just as bad as last year. I believe the schedule is very unbalanced. Still not enough "average" opponents. A couple of the bottom feeders need to be replaced by TCU, A&M, UTEP or Ole Miss level teams.

Just win!

Also, other than Arky, we get all the "name" teams AWAY. And if we play TCU in fball we BETTER play them in bball also so we can at least smoke them in ONE sport.

My overall reaction: meh, just win!

Your 3 "average" teams are UCSB, Wyoming and Arkansas (I'm putting the Razorbacks there since they haven't lit it up in recent years). Your guarantee games are Texas Southern, Lamar and Eastern Washington. Your 150-200 games are Illinois-Chicago and Monmouth.

It's a great schedule. I'm very pleased that we have it. If we perform the way we think we can perform, then we'll be fine.

Relax.

Illinois-Chicago finished 315 and Monmouth 290 last season. Not even close to the 150-200 range.

Oh well. Take your complaints to Rick Hart and Larry Brown. The gang of 30 whining party is at it again. This is ridiculous. If there is something to complain or moan about, you guys will certainly find it.

Rather than whining about us whining, again, please tell me how the schedule is exceptionally balanced?

Well, at least you've admitted you're whining about it because that's all you guys do.

I already gave my belief of the schedule. I think it's MORE THAN EXCEPTIONALLY BALANCED. This is the schedule that SMU can handle. You chose to disagree with it because your thought process is governed by the RPI. That's fine. You want SMU to play a non-conference schedule that includes the entire ACC and Big 10.

I'm sorry if you're really upset about paying for pricy home games against opponents that don't get you jazzed (because this is what this is really about).

I know I'm going to go to Moody and watch them play. You're not going to ask for a refund over this, are you?

I think LA was simply correctly questioning whether SMU had addressed what the NCAA found to be the weakness of our resume. The lack of 2nd tier team victories over the Top 50-100 or 150 teams. Again, we dropped 2 games with Louisville
