My man, we need some team chemistry, our best player not to stink, some notion of perimeter D, and 2 shooters, before back-up PG enters the discussion

All that is needed but some that all those things were here with the transfers and improvement over the summer by returning players. We heard that Ben E. was a good shooter and that he was viewed as a better player than McQuaid by many recruiters. We also heard that Manuel would improved his overall game during the summer and he is about the same.

Where are you hearing this stuff?

Many recruiters do prefer Emelogu to McQuaid, but nobody has ever said Ben E can shoot. He simply didn't do that in AAU or Va Tech.

Who expected improvement from Manuel? He is who he is at this point

Out of curiosity, if Ben E can't shoot, why did the recruiters prefer Emelogu over McQuaid?

Those were some of the comments that were posted here over the summer.

Nobody would prefer Emelogu coming out of HS. But he had a very good and productive freshmen year at VT. You take the player that is proven. It's also preference, they're very different players and they play very differently. At any rate, wish McQuaid was in the class, big pick-up for Sparty.

Nobody has said that Ben can shoot? He attempted 5 3's per game last year making 37% of them. What are you talking about?

He is a good shooter. He needs to get more looks and better passes. He's received a lot of bad passes and it takes too long to transfer the ball from the side or over his head into the shooting chamber. By that time, the D has recovered and he's got hands in his face.
