Can't say I learned this last night, but it did reconfirm, without Nic, this team isn't going anywhere,

KF had a good night, but does anyone have his stats pre & post Nic injury? I was hoping he'd take over offensively after Nic went down, he certainly did not.

This team desperately needs another shooter and we simply don't have one on this team. Watching our 2 transfers, they certainly are not the answer, not that they were brought in to be scoring threats.

Against any worthy opponent well get exposed when Nic isn't on the court.

Agree with PonyNeighbor, saw some resemblance to last yr in the first half. Defended, rebounded, passed well, and made shots. 2nd half - diff story for sure. The 2-3 zone always get us. Need to make them pay.

Cunningham might look lethargic, but he rolled out a double double in limited minutes. He's an asset as a role player for this team

KF has really demonstrated a ton of maturity. Last year he could have sulked when riding the bench, then transferred to a school that wouldn't ask him to play defense. Instead, he accepted coaching and worked hard. He's a much better player as a result, and when he chooses to turn pro he will see the benefits of the path he chose. A life lesson for all of us.

Cunningham looks half asleep while he's playing and yet every game, you look up and he has around 8 points. It's crazy

Cannen is one of my favorite players but he drives me crazy because he is
so laid back & relaxed. I wonder what would happen if he ever got hyped on
Monster or Red Bull and played with explosive intensity. But then, maybe this is
just the way he is and to play any other way would be counter productive.

Having said that, I really do enjoy watching him play.

Can we just accept that he is always going to look like he just woke up from a nap? That's just him. He gets it done though. Great backup capable of both amazing plays and solid minutes. That is all.

.....and if they pumped him full of Red Bull he would probably blow layups and foul out in six minutes.

I learned this team is asleep at the wheel, but still has enough athletes to compensate vs decent teams. Just not enough skill on the roster, talent level is fine

Cannen is our strongest post player this year. I think he's doing well.

 Huh?? Cannen has played pretty well but Yanick is our only true post. He has played very well in stretches early this season.

we are lacking in consistent outside shooters with the exception of nic. he has been shooting lights out. keef is hot and cold. if he hits his first shot (whether free throw or fg) his confidence kicks in and he is good to go. if he misses his first shot he usually struggles. luckily keef was hitting shots against ucsb.

We are missing the guy that can create his own shot. Lots of spot up shooters (I use that term loosely). Yanick has been better than I was expecting. If we can get him an MK in a rhythm together it should open up those spot shooters more. And MK was a great passer late in the season last year from the post position.

Additionally, Martin is supposed to be a great shooter but he hasn't been showing it in the games. Martin had 5 wide open 3 looks against UCSB if he makes 3 of those instead of 1 it's a completely different game. Hopefully he get's health get's adjusted and starts hitting his shots.
