Not sure what adjustments any coach can make when you are creating turnovers, have a ton of shots in the paint within 5 feet, and you can not make the shot, nor the 1 foot put back. Plus, we could not hit from the outside ... just one of those frustrating nights and every team has them. Our less then stellar FT shooting (separate of Nick Moore) certainly did not help ... again. We were clearly the better team IMO. But, like sports teaches us, you let a team hang around long enough that should be down by double digits and they will come back to bite you. It's not like Cinci sucks, nor lacks a solid "D".

This is a team, like it our not that has to win games in the paint. We missed what about 6 shots inside of three feet, not to mention the half dozen blocks their center had. If we can't score inside the paint, we won't win games. Give Cunningham credit, he had a great game. The rest of the bigs were schooled.

their guards were pushing off like crazy. not called once.
they were fouling our bigs in the paint with impunity.
hard to win when you have to beat the other team and the refs.
just disgusting. that game tape needs to be reviewed by the aac.

it was not a well reffed game - no doubt about it - but we lost because our bigs played soft once everyone could tell these guys weren't going to call s$#t. We had our three best bigs with a total of FOUR fouls with 2.3 minutes to go in the game. Against Cincinnati. That, plus the other team shooting lights out is not going to win you many games.

Hated to see us lose twice at home this year - wanted to keep our average at one game a year. (cant believe I just typed that....)

We match up much better vs Tulsa - I expect a better outcome.

Since we have a big inside presence, I like it when the refs let them play. It usually works to our advantage. We will want freedom against Tulsa. We need to get tougher underneath against Cincy pr their equivalent.
